My husband planted a packet of sunflower seeds before springtime for experiment. Although they did not grow as tall as we thought they would due to lack of rains this year in Florida, and cares because we were away a lot since he planted the seeds; they started blooming in May. This one bloom was the very first and it's been flowering for more than a week before I took photographs.
